Harry Potter Movies Pudding Universal Studios

Wizarding World Chocolate Trifle

Wizarding World Chocolate Trifle

Wizarding World Chocolate Trifle is inspired by a dessert from the menu at Universal Studios in the Three Broomsticks restaurant. It is an individual dessert composed of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache, strawberries, strawberry jam, whipped cream, and a chocolate decoration. My son ordered this on our last visit to the park and let us all have a taste. We all agreed it was delicious and definitely worth replicating at home. If you are interested in reading about our Universal Studios visit, please read about it here. And if you are interested in learning more about the food, please read about it here.

I use an assembly line approach to pulling this dessert together. I lay out all the ingredients in the order I will need them, then I start moving through the line.

  • First, I put the slices of strawberries on the sides of the dessert bowl.
  • Then I spoon the chocolate mousse into the bowl, just up to the top of the strawberries.
  • Next I spoon the strawberry jam on top of the mousse.
  • This is followed by the crumbled cake.
  • Next is the chocolate ganache.
  • Finally come the trimmings. I sprinkle the mini chocolate chips, or you could place shaved chocolate on top as they do in the park. The chocolate chips easier and with all that goes into this dessert, any step that makes it a little faster is appreciated.
  • I pipe a dollop of whipped cream on top, place the chocolate decoration in the center and finally a single raspberry. All finished, and isn’t it pretty!
