She wrote, “Let’s celebrate with anything Afternoon Tea-related. It can be your favorite tea, something made with tea, or something that you would eat at a tea party.”

Pumpkin Cranberry Scones Recipe

Pumpkin Cranberry Scones

Pumpkin Cranberry Scones

Pumpkin Cranberry Scones. based on original Disney recipe from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Garden View Tea Room. Perfect quick breakfast option or afternoon tea. Fantastic fall flavors!

Cook Time 20 minutes
Additional Time 5 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes

Ingredients

Pumpkin Cranberry Scones

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • coarse sugar

Maple Devon Style Cream

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup

Instructions

Pumpkin Cranberry Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt.
  3. Add cubed butter, shortening, and pumpkin puree to the mix and combine on low speed.
  4. Add milk and dried cranberries and mix until combined.
  5. Roll out the dough on a non-stick surface using parchment paper and rolling pin over the dough. Roll until 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Cut rounds using a 2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.

Maple Devon Style Cream

  1. Beat cream until medium stiff peaks form. Add maple syrup and yogurt during last minute of beating.
