Mango Orange Sherbet is a refreshing tropical treat inspired by Disneyland’s Tiki Juice Bar Dole Whip offerings. This month I’m hosting a recipe event for The Movie Munchies group and our movie is The Jungle Cruise. Disneyland has been offering Dole Whip flavors other than pineapple for years now at the Tiki Juice Bar and Tropical Hideaway dining locations. Since I have already created a copycat Pineapple Dole Whip/Sherbet recipe, I wanted to do something a little different. I found Mango Orange juice concentrate at the market and decided it was the perfect flavor combination. My son’s favorite fruit is mango so we often have various mango treats around the house (mango juice, frozen mango chunks, even mango tea). I must admit, I love this flavor even more than the pineapple and I’m a big pineapple fan.
Mango Orange Sherbet Recipe
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 container mango orange juice concentrate (thawed)
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
- Pour mixture into prepared ice cream maker tub and freeze for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove from ice cream maker and put into a freezer safe bowl and freeze until ready to serve.
- When ready to serve, remove from freezer about 3-5 minutes ahead of time to allow the sherbet to soften for serving.
