Serendipity inspired Frozen Hot Chocolate

Frozen Hot Chocolate

This month on the Monday Movie Challenge, we are taking on inspiration from Luck or Good Fortune movies. My movie is Serendipity. The tag line for the movie is “Destiny, with a sense of humor”. The food that stood out the most for me was when the newly acquainted couple goes to Serendipity Cafe for a dessert. On the table we see the largest, most amazing looking drink and it turns out it is their famous Frozen Hot Chocolate. I couldn’t resist making this recipe and it is absolutely wonderful, I wish I had made it long ago!

Serendipity is a movie about a man and a woman who meet while shopping for Christmas gifts. They hit it off immediately and spend the rest of the evening getting to know each other. We learn that the girl, Sarah, believes everything happens for a reason. She decides that if they are truly meant to pursue this attraction that they need to let destiny bring them together again. They part and do not see each other for a long time.  We discover they have been searching for the other. I don’t want to spoil it, but the movie proceeds through many signs that either are pointing to them being together or that it isn’t meant to be, you’ll have to watch to discover the ending. It’s good, worth a watch.
